Accessories: Skins, Add-ons and other auxillary additions to software.
Benchmarking: Test suites for comparing performance of computers.
Devel: Software development tools.
Drivers: Software drivers for operating systems, mainly Win9x and DOS.
Games: Video games, mostly for Win9x.
Install Media: Installation files required for operating systems.
Netware: Houses network-enabled programs, not sorted by Operating System.
+Clients: Anything that can connect into atleast one service available in the next sub-directory.
+Services: Network Services, either for Unix-like or DOS.
 +BBS: Bulletin Board System servers.
 +UseNet: UUCP/Newsgroup servers.

Software of note:
Archie - One of the first search engines ever created, meant for indexing FTP servers.
C-News - UoT's News Server, a widely used and integral part of later UseNet hosters.
Minuet - UoM's all in one web services client, contains FTP, TelNet, WWW, Gopher and News.
